Maximum Von-Mises

The simulation model was analyzed using a 3D symmetrical model. 1/8th of the dog bone was analyzed using symmetry. The dog bone was divided by the x-direction, y-direction, and z-direction to get 1/8th of the dog bone. Symmetry was set for the dog bone, on the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis, since only 1/8th of the model was simulated. The dog bone was analyzed with the following different contact types: bonded, no separation, frictionless and frictional.

Temperature Distribution

The simulation was solved using Steady-State Thermal Analysis to find the temperature using 2D ANSYS simulation and 3D ANSYS simulation

ANSYS Fluent

The simulation was solved using a 3D symmetrical model in Fluent. The T-piece was made as a cross section with two inlets and one outlet. The mesh Physics Preference was set to CFD and the inflation layers were set to Program Controlled. Once the mesh was generated, it can be used in Fluent.
